Seeing a Clinican at the Practice
During the Coronavirus Pandemic, all appointments are by telephone. The GP/ANP will decide if a Face to Face appointment is needed and will arrange that with you.
Urgent 'On-The-Day' Appointments
Urgent Triage is available every day between the hours of 8.30 am and 10:30 am. The Triage Nurse will speak to patients who feel that they need urgent advice that day. Patients should call the surgery before 10.30am giving their name and contact number and a reason for the urgent contact. Our Triage Nurse will prioritise the callbacks by the information that is given to the telephonist. The return call may be from a withheld number as we are using mobiles to free up telephone lines for patients.
The surgery will be closed every Wednesday between the hours of 1.00pm and 2.00pm for staff training purposes. Only emergencies will be dealt with during that hour.
Out-with these hours, weekends and public holidays, the practice has an arrangement with NHS 24. Please contact NHS 24 on 111 or access general medical information on the NHS 24 Website . If you use a textphone or are deaf or hard of hearing, you can call on 18001 08454 24 24 24.[/column]
If something serious or life threatening occurs, eg, heart attack or stroke, please call 999. For minor injuries please dial 111 and your call will be triaged at the minor injuries unit.
